Kit Building Service
We want your drums to look and sound great from the outset, so we offer a kit building service to take the strain away from you. We have a team of highly trained Technicians, who are dedicated to building drum kits. Many people do not appreciate that drums are shipped from suppliers in several boxes, with most of the component parts unassembled. The drum shells are quite literally "russian-dolled" inside each other.
Kit Building Service.
We offer this service at a small cost of £35, which is pitched to cover our costs only, and not make a profit. 90% of our customers take advantage of this service, because we ensure the following:
All of shells are "true". This means that they are perfectly round, free of defects on the inside of the shell and the external finish, and the bearing edges are free of chips or other imperfections.
The finish is free of scratches and the colour is consistent on every drum.
All mechanical parts on drums, stands and pedals are in perfect working order.
The tension bolts are greased, and the shell bearing edges are waxed.
All heads are seated correctly on the shells and tensioned using precision tuning devices.
The drums are precision tuned so that they respond and have a suitable musical interval between the toms.
Our kit building service is available on all drum kits from £100-£1000, and is free on Professional level shell packs, as they are the exception and are shipped to us assembled. (Although we still check them thoroughly and precision tune them).
